I recently took up the task of pruning one of my oldest plants. A Pothos Ivy that’s been with me since my first apartment. Some of the vines had grown to over 20ft in length, and decorated my walls and ceilings with its lush foliage. But over time, the leaves grew smaller, and many have withered and died. Inconsistent watering, insufficient nutrients, old soil, and maybe even envy affected its once thriving presence.
Alas, pruning is necessary and an adjustment currently in the works. A new pot, new soil, and the much needed tender loving care is at hand for a vital resurgence. Pruning is not only for plants, as most of us understand in a Biblical sense. Cutting something off in order to experience new fuller growth is without a doubt necessary for us as well, and requires a commitment of simply following through with action.
How much of what we now have in our lives do we need to evaluate and cut out of it? I can name quite a few for myself, and it can be humiliating to acknowledge some of the dated habits and behaviors I’ve clung to for much too long.
Things that are perhaps dragging you down, holding you up, or wearing you out. As we get older, we have to cut out some of our old, but rather young, thinking habits in order to grow into some new thought processes.

Lately I’ve been writing about the Mavericks, being it that I’m from Dallas, TX I can admit that I’m a bit of a homer. I didn’t record the game tonight because my DVR was booked for the evening with other shows. So as me and my sweetheart went out to shop for furniture, the Mavs and Jazz were apparently putting on a spectacular athletic event.
Fortunately, I was able to catch the last 4 or 5 minutes as the teams battled intensely for a victory. The Mavs didn’t fold in the clutch and it was sweetness. Winning against a formidable opponent such as the Jazz is very important at this stage of the season. Even though they clinch their spot in the playoffs, and are kinda limpin’ into the post-season; I want to see them go 5-0 or 4-1 as I mentioned before. The reason is obvious.

The Mavericks win a necessary game that appeared to be in control of the Suns going into the last quarter. I honestly thought they had let another game slip by them, but despite being down 14 in the second half they played with confidence and solid defense. Their remaining schedule gives them the opportunity to lock down the 7th spot in the standings, but I’d really like to see them go 5-0 or 4-1 despite having to face New Orleans and Utah. It would be great for them to win against Portland and Seattle without a struggle, and to end the season in a winning fashion against good opponents such as the Jazz and Hornets. No more moral victories, they need “W’s”.
This team needs to maintain their energy and intensity going into the post-season. Dirk is playing with a purpose, and Kidd is showing signs of being in sync with his new teammates. Josh, Terry, and Bass are playing good ball now, but their consistency remains questionable. Hopefully this victory is their proverbial hump, and will continue to hunger for more wins.

Just watched a good game between the Lakers and Mavericks with the final score etched in NBA history at 112-108; advantage, Lakers. Another big game that was played well for three quarters, and Mavs fail to close it out with a victory. Looking at this team, I’m not sure what I’m seeing out there on the court. It’s too late in the season for me to feel good about their chances of doing anything of significance in the playoffs; if they’re fortunate enough to make it.
If they happen to squeak into the playoff picture, they will be slated to face the no. 1 or no. 2 team in the conference if I’m not mistaken. However, they could face either the Hornets, Spurs, or the Lakers in the first round if the records hold to their current form. Out in the first round for the second year in a row won’t be a good start in trying to become the kings of the NBA. I don’t know, but after losing to Miami in the Finals, not to mention the fiasco against Golden State last year, it’s difficult to have confidence in the Mavs ability to put their foot in anyone’s ass and win a title.
Moreover, it’ll be interesting to see what they do to wrap up the season. Will they make the playoffs, and if they do will they finally show up and drop-kick a couple of teams?

I’m writing this post to simply say hello and welcome. There isn’t much here right now, and I won’t even promise a whole lot at this moment; however, my plans are deep and I have my concept building in my mind as I write this post. In fact, most of what I have planned resides in the background and out of site. It’s like looking out upon a plot of land with nothing but fertile soil visible; yet, there are seeds planted that’s obviously invisible to the seeing eye. I’m sowing the seeds in hopes of reaping healthy and bountiful harvests in this particular online community that you’ve stumbled upon.
Miboso is a personal as well as a business project that has festered in my mind for years dating back to my stint in college. I’m late to the party with my concept as it has been utilized by other well deserving individuals, but I will continue on with my version of the concept. It’s about business since it represents a small group of creative entities and it’s personal because it symbolizes a group of natural human elements - the mind, body, and soul. Therefore, it’s two-fold in it’s approach and purpose.
Next, it’s my duty to have you say it proper- yes proper. Simply say (My-boss-oh) — Miboso. That’s it, that’s all it takes to say it right. Just like people trying to say my name, I’ve heard people pronounce it in many different ways, which is actually fine by me but I prefer people knowing how to say it for the sake of consistency.

I’m writing this post simply because I’m tired of seeing “Hello World!” on the first page. Yes, this site is ridiculously void of content. So if you’re reading this post I will honestly say you’ve wasted a few minutes of your time being here. However, that will soon change and there will be content worthy of your valuable time in the future; perhaps when the coldest season in the northern hemisphere emerges. Until then read the ‘About’ page to get a better idea of what this site’s about and my purpose for building it up to something more viable, pliable, and reliable. Have a good day!
